BOULES, the quintessentially French game, is now on offer in Hemyock at the Longmead sports facility. The new Boules court is being ‘christened’ on July 12 when UCTA, the local French Twinning association, are offering a Boules and Bangers event to encourage both the playing of the game and awareness of the work of UCTA.

"The event is open to everyone young and old who want to experience the game" said Mike Eastick the association’s secretary.

“We are expecting a good crowd for what will be a fun evening". BBQ refreshments will be available at £2.50which which include a free glass of French wine and the event which will run from 5pm to 8pm.
