Pensioner dies after car hits Plymouth garden wall

An elderly woman has died in Plymouth after her car drove into a garden wall.

The 75-year-old woman left the road in her silver Daewoo Lanos at around 12.10pm last Thursday.

Paramedics treated the woman at the scene of the collision, on St Peters Road in Honicknowle, before she was taken to Derriford Hospital in an ambulance for further treatment.

However, her condition worsened and she later died at the hospital.

Officers from the police serious collisions investigation unit attended the scene and an investigation is underway.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to call police on 101 quoting 264/27/09/12.

Are you sure that's what happened ?
People sometimes drive their cars into walls, but cars cannot drive.
