Suspected Torquay arson investigated

Investigations into a suspected arson attack in Torquay continue this morning.

Yesterday a 33-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, but has since been released by police who will take no further action against him.

They are continuing to investigate the fire, which broke out at 6.50am yesterday.

Firefighters and police officers were called to Tor Hill Road to find a pile of rubbish ablaze next to a shop.

A baby from a nearby property was taken to hospital as a precaution, but was later discharged.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact the police on 101, ref 290 of 30/09/12.
