Police call for witnesses after serious Yelverton crash

Police have call for witnesses after serious Yelverton crash left two elderly pedestrians hospitalised.

Officers were called to the A386 Dousland Road in Yelverton, Devon at around 2.20pm on Friday.

Two elderly pedestrians - a man and a woman - were involved in a collision with a Ford Ka and taken to Derriford Hospital following the incident.

The male pedestrian was suffering from serious injuries. The Ford is thought to be the only vehicle involved.

Police have closed the road in the area and motorists are advised to avoid the area for the time being.

Anyone witnessing the incident is asked to please call police on 101 with log 472 of 17 August.
