Police are asking for witnesses to collision in Woolwell area that put local man in intensive care Officers received a report from member of the public that there had been a collision involving a man on a motorcycle close to Woolwell roundabout on the A386 Tavistock Road in Plymouth shortly after midnight on Thursday.

The rider, a local man aged 20, was treated at the scene by the ambulance service. He was conscious and breathing when he was taken to Derriford Hospital.

The road was closed near to the Plessy roundabout while police collision investigators carried out investigative work to help them understand the cause of the collision.

The male rider remains at Derriford hospital in intensive care where his condition is being reported as serious.

Police would like to hear from anyone who either witnessed this incident or saw a green Kawasaki 125 trials type motorcycle around midnight on Wednesday night, Thursday morning in the Widewell or Roborough areas of Plymouth.
