UK Diplomats are working to repatriate wounded Devon-based photographer Paul Conroy out of Syria, the Foreign Office has said.

Mr Conroy, 47, was injured in the attack on a media centre in Homs that killed the Times correspondent Marie Colvin alongside another reporter and photographer .

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) said "all necessary work is being done to get Paul Conroy out of Homs".

His family has said he had suffered shrapnel injuries to his left leg.
