TIVERTON Flower Club won a gold award for its entry at the Devon County Show.
Club members celebrated success after it picked up the trophy for the club class at the show – which they also won last year.
Members have already held a competitive club show this month, and are planning the flower and garden marquee at the Mid Devon Show in July – for more details on the show, keep reading the Star.
In September, the club will be doing the arrangement for the flower festival at St Andrew’s Church.
An on October 21, the club will be holding an open evening in the Ondaatje Hall and Blundell’s School, where national demonstrator Pat Dibben will be creating a ‘floral profusion.
The club, which has been in existence since 1979, has around 55 members and meets on the first Thursday of each month in St Andrew’s Church Hall from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
