Firefighters rescue man from smoke-logged flat

A MAN was dramatically saved by firefighters in Exeter this afternoon after unattended cooking caught fire.
Officers called to Jubilee Court in Queen Street were unable to raise the man inside so they forced their way into his flat and led him to safety using breathing apparatus.
The man was then treated by paramedics for the effects of smoke inhalation.
