THE Dartmoor Sunday Rover is now even more accessible for people looking to explore the moor this year.
The Sunday Rover ticket is now valid on Tarka Line trains between Barnstaple, Exeter and Digby and Sowton.
Also returning to the network is the Exeter – Okehampton train, which will run each Sunday until September 20, except the August Bank Holiday Monday.
Five trains run each Sunday, leaving Exeter Central at 9.06am and every two hours until 5.06pm, returning from Okehampton at 10.02am and two-hourly until 18.02am.
The Dartmoor Sunday Rover is a network of buses and trains to Dartmoor and beyond, enabling people to enjoy the wide open landscape, visit pretty Moorland villages or enjoy a day by the sea, while leaving your car at home.
The service operates every Sunday, and on the August Bank Holiday, until September 20.
Tickets, costing £6.50 for an adult, £4.30 for children or £16.00 for families (up to 2 adults and up to 3 children), entitle passengers to unlimited travel on the Dartmoor Sunday Rover network, plus reduced admission on many attractions.
A new Sunday Rover leaflet with details of the service is now available from tourist information centres, bus stations, libraries and post offices.
The details of the Exeter-Okehampton train can be found in a separate timetable.
