BEFORE you pack away the suntan lotion and flip-flops for another year, ensure that you finish the summer on a charitable note, by donating your foreign coins to Barnardo's.
Coins can be donated to local Lloyds TSB or Cheltenham & Gloucester (C&G) branches right up until 31st Dec 2007. Funds raised will help support Barnardo's work with young people, providing vital training and skills projects.
The Change for Change' initiative is part of Barnardo's and Lloyds TSB's charity partnership for 2007.
The partnership is aiming to raise over £1 million, to provide over 2,000 vocational training and education places for disadvantaged young people across the UK, providing a better start in life and a brighter future through support, training and education Steve O'Connor, Director of Fundraising at Barnardo's explains Change for Change is a great initiative, and a clear example of how we are working with Lloyds TSB to offer practical solutions for young people who would otherwise face exclusion from a good education and unemployment.
