WANT TO call Devon and Cornwall Police about a minor crime?
You'll be unable to this evening because of a computer upgrade.
The force tweeted earlier this evening saying that due to a computer upgrade, they are unable to record minor crimes overnight by telephone and for people to email the details.
They said for emergencies call 999.
People on Twitter have been reacting to the news.
Some were shocked and some made jokes out of the situation.
ITV Westcountry presenter Ian Axton tweeted: "So drop us an email if you spot a drink driver, get punched, have your property damaged... Really?"
Fabulous Gee @fabulousmrg said: "@IanAxton Dear Devon and Cornwall police, I am e-mailing you to report the theft of my laptop. Oh, wait......"
