A VEHICLE spun out of control and collided with the central reservation on the M5 between Junctions 28 and 27 this morning.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were sent to the incident, which was Northbound on the M5, at 6.18am.

Fire crews from Cullompton and Middlemoor and the heavy rescue vehicle from Middlemoor all attended as it was reported that someone was still in the vehicle.

On arrival, they found someone still inside the vehicle but they were not physically trapped.

The person was walked from the vehicle and left in the care of ambulance while fire crews made the vehicle and scene safe.
