AGE UK Mid Devon is ‘kicking off ’ the New Year by launching a walking football project, in Uffculme.
The sport is hugely popular for older players and is perfect for those looking to get fit or to make new friends.
The charity has worked closely with several other local organisations to make the scheme possible with support from Magelake Hall, Devon FA, Active Devon and coaching staff from Exeter City Football Club.
Age UK Mid Devon chief officer, Deborah Bridger Elerick, said: “For those who take part, free leadership training will be provided should they want to run sessions in their local area.”
The first sessions begin on January 14, and are kicking off at Magelake Hall, Uffculme.
Attendance is by pre-booking only.
Call Age UK Mid Devon on 01884 242052 to book your place.
