Detectives are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Plympton at the weekend left a man with serious head and facial injuries.
A 24-year-old man, from Plymouth, was approached by a man who punched him in the mouth and struck him over the back of the head in Fore Street, St Maurice.
The victim suffered serious head and facial injuries as a result of the attack that happened at around 9pm on Saturday 28 March, at the junction with Castle Lane.
The offender is believed to have left the scene in a vehicle after the assault.
