Tree falls on moving vehicle in Axminster
A MOTORIST had a lucky escape when a tree fell on their moving vehicle today, Sunday, March 29.
When firefighters arrived on the scene on the A35 at Kilmington, Axminster at 3.01pm, there was nobody still in the crushed vehicle.
One casualty was being treated by paramedics, although the extent of their injuries has not been revealed.
Firefighters pulled the vehicle out from under the tree and made it safe.
The road remained closed for a period following the incident.
