A woman was left extremely shaken after being robbed at knifepoint at a Whitleigh Green cashpoint.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who might have any information surrounding a street robbery that took place on Whitleigh Green in the early hours of Thursday, February 26.

A woman in her late twenties was approached while at the cash machine near the post office on Whitleigh Green by two men and was threatened by a knife.

The incident took place between 12.30am and 1am.

A police spokesperson said: “As you can imagine, this woman is extremely shaken by this incident – it must’ve been a frightening experience. Someone must know who did this and we are appealing to local residents to help us catch these two criminals before they decide to do this again.”

The two men took a quantity of cash from the woman – over £200 – and then fled the scene on a black mountain bike in the direction of St Chads Church.

The first suspect is a white male, aged late teens to early 20’s, slim build, 6’0’’ – 6’1’’. He was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, navy blue tracksuit with stripes down the side, dark coloured trainers and a scarf around his face.

The second suspect was also a white male, 5’7’’ – 5’8’’ in height, late teens to early 20’s and of a medium to stocky build. He was wearing a cream coloured jacket with a dark hoody worn underneath, a red baseball cap and a cream/Burberry style scarf worn around his face, dark jeans and trainers.
