BUSINESSES in Exeter are being asked to help shape the future of regulatory services by carrying out a short online survey.

Exeter City Council is working with regulators across Devon & Somerset to develop a co-ordinated and consistent approach to help businesses meet their duties under food, health & safety, licensing, trading standards and fire safety law.

Supporting businesses in this way promotes economic growth and encourages investment in the region.

Businesses often find regulation difficult to navigate.

To simplify the process and develop a better relationship with regulators, commercial businesses are being asked to complete a survey to capture their thoughts and views on regulators and regulation.

The survey, which only takes around 15 minutes to complete, can be found at: https://www.torbay.gov.uk/surveys/devonandsomersetbusinesssurvey.htm Feedback from the survey will help regulators to develop ‘Better Business for All’, a more focused way of working together that aims to support businesses by making regulations easier to access and understand.

Better Business for All ’(BBfA) is part of a national government initiative to reduce the regulatory burden on business.

It is endorsed by the Better Regulation Delivery Office, which is part of the Department for Business Innovation and Skills.

This survey closes on March 29.
