PROMOTING dignity in care is core part of the values and philosophy of Lexicon Healthcare, and in celebration of the national awareness event Dignity Action Day, Green Tree Court is holding an open-house ‘Digni-tea Party’ on Sunday, February 1 at 3pm.

Dignity Action Day is an annual event to support everyone involved in either the provision or receipt of care, including healthcare professionals, residents and their families.

Dignity is essential in all aspects of daily life, and that right should not be diminished when an individual needs any level of care and support. The right to be treated with respect, to have privacy and to be able to maintain self worth are all essential aspects of dignity.

The right to dignity in all areas of daily life underpins every aspect of the philosophy of care at Lexicon Healthcare, and to support this annual day of awareness, the ‘Digni-tea Party’ is open to everyone to come along to Green Tree Court in Exeter and enjoy the food, surroundings and company of the residents, their families and the staff.

The newly-opened, 5-star nursing and dementia home will be open to all from 3pm on Sunday 1st February. There will be a large selection of cakes, pastries and biscuits on offer, all hand-made by our talented in-house catering team as well as hot and cold drinks for everyone.

Green Tree Court Activities Coordinator, Mark Smith, said, “We are very much looking forward to welcoming everyone to Green Tree Court for our Digni-tea Party. Our residents really enjoy socialising with their family and making new friends, so please do come along and share in this exciting event.”
