A COUPLE of Devon-based entrepreneurs have noticed that the comedy scene in Exeter is missing the trick so have decided to take matters into their own hands.

They will be bringing professional comedians from all over the UK directly to Exeter at their new venue, Jimmyz Lounge, serving you a slice of the London comedy club experience, every month.

These two local young entrepreneurs, Louis Burgess, 22, and Dan Edge, 27, are proving that when economic times are tough you have to play to your strengths.

They started The Eminent Banter 3 years ago and haven’t looked back since, booking some of best names in comedy. Quality comes first at The Eminent Banter.

So, to show the people what they are all about, they have started the very first Eminent Comedy Club, showcasing the finest comedy talents they have discovered on their comedy-business journey.

Eminent Comedy Club first opened at The Tobacco House in December 2013, proving to be a regular success for venue and customers alike.

Sadly, The Tobacco House suddenly closed down leaving a hole of comedy left to be filled.

After three months of searching for the right venue, Eminent Comedy Club is pleased to announce our opening night will be held on the September 12 at Jimmyz Lounge and will be featuring names as seen on TV - including Joe Rowntree from Dave’s One Night Stand and Brainiac supported by a full line up of professional comedians.

The show will all be tied together by local Devon funny man, MC Luke Honnoraty; 2010’s ‘South-West Comedian of the Year’.

This is an event not to be missed. If you want to come along tickets can be bought from www.eminentcomedyclub.co.uk
