Bomb disposal experts were called out to a Plymouth park after a hand grenade was found by a person walking their dog.
Part of Plymouth's Central Park was cordoned off after what was described as a classic pineapple-style grenade was found "half buried in a bank" in the park near Trelawney Avenue.
Royal Navy explosive ordnance disposal experts removed the grenade.
The park opened again by 5pm.
