Two people are being interviewed by police after streets in Torquay were condioned off yesterday.
Police say that following a search of a house in Falloway Close on Monday officers recovered two items that were believed to be explosive.
However initial examinations of these items showed that this was not the case and could not have caused any harm.
A spokesman said: "Police continue to interview a woman and two men at Torquay Police Station in connection with the incident.
"Police would like to thank the local community for their support during this investigation and for being patient while we investigated the risk to the public."
