A man who died in a fatal collision on the A38 in Plymouth has been named as Kevin Wayne Caswell, aged 42.

His family have paid tribute, to a "fantastic bloke and father" who was "always welcoming to others, polite, happy go lucky and the life and soul of every party".

Kevin was a father to three children, Sophie (19), James (18) and Brandon (4) along with his wife Hazel, who had been together for 23 years.

The family added: "Kevin will be truly missed by everyone that loved him dearly."

They have also thanked the people that were there to help to keep Kevin warm and not alone on that tragic morning, and to the people that have given their respects.

The crash happened just before 6am on  Tuesda, January 22, in icy conditions on the A38 Parkway, Eastbound between the Manadon off slip and Forder Valley on slip.

The two vehicles involved in the collision were a Ford Fiesta and a Toyota Avensis.

A specialist forensic investigation of the scene took place, resulting in the road being closed for ten hours
