A 40 year old woman from the Champernowne area of Modbury has been charged with the murder of a two-year-old boy.
Angela Vane will appear before Torquay Magistrates this morning, Monday, January 21.
Investigating officers had made an appeal for anyone who may have seen a woman walking between Modbury and Wrangaton between 2am hours and 8.15am hours on Saturday, January 19.
The appeal followed the discovery of the body of a two-year-old boy at an address in Champernowne.
