A 21 year old man from Plymouth has been charged with house burglaries following his arrest in Stoke in the small hours of Tuesday 13 November 2012.
Benedict Downes has also been charged with two offences of aggravated vehicle taking, driving with excess alcohol, and four traffic related offences.
He was arrested following a call from a member of the public reporting a burglary in the Fitzroy Road area. Officers attended and found the suspect who was then arrested and detained at Charles Cross Police Station.
He was later charged with the nine offences and detained. He will appear before magistrates in the city this morning, Wednesday 14 November 2012.
