Police are appealing for information after a 13-year-old boy was assaulted by a woman in Plympton on November 1.
A police spokesman said that the Plympton boy was playing football with his friends in the subway at Glen Road around 3.30pm when he was approached by the woman who claimed the ball had almost hit her.
She then picked up the football and threw it at the boy, and it hit him in the face. She then proceeded to hit him in the face, causing him bruising.
The woman is described as in her mid to late 20s with dark hair. She wore a black coat or bodywarmer and possibly a blue skirt. The woman was walking a dog thought to be a Spaniel breed and described as black and grey with short curly hair.
Anyone who witnessed or has information about the assault is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference EP/12/1163
