A LARGE fire with a digger and shipping container saw two fire crews called out in Uffculme at the weekend.
Fire engines from Cullompton and Tiverton were sent to the fire in Chapel Hill, Uffculme shortly after 5.30pm yesterday (July 31).
On arrival crews discovered a mini digger and one small shipping container well alight.
Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The shipping container, building site rest facilities, digger and container were all severely damaged by the fire.
