Uffculme man in court after woman in her twenties is stabbed
A 22-YEAR-OLD man from Uffclume was in court yesterday after a woman in her twenties was stabbed on Sunday, (February 1) in Uffculme.
The woman, who has not been named, was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and was transferred to Derriford with serious, life-threatening injuries from multiple stab wounds.
She is now stable and is making good progress but remains in hospital.
Gareth Meek was arrested at the scene at Pathfields in Uffculme, Cullompton and appeared in Exeter Magistrates Court yesterday after being charged with wounding.
