CLIVE Rowe, of Lloyds, congratulates new care home owners Marcus Lyward and Lorna Turner.

THE 23 residents at Court House Residential Home, in Cullompton, have been told they can carry on living there after the owner pulled out.

Lorna Turner and Marcus Lyward, with the aid of a £598,000 loan from Lloyds, have bought the care home, ensuring the residents can stay – and securing the jobs of 21 staff, with more being taken on in the near future..

Court House is registered to provide accommodation for the elderly, but the couple are looking to explore care for people with dementia.

Marcus said: “The fact that our residents will not have to be moved and 21 jobs have been saved as a result is fantastic news, and we’re eager to hire more employees from the local area to continue the care and support that our residents deserve.

“When the opportunity arose to buy Court House, Lorna and I jumped at the chance as we have wanted to run our own care home for a number of years.”
