A MID DEVON-based, family-run business has expanded its operation after buying new industrial premises at Blackdown Park, near Cullompton.

KDP Tools, the sole importer of Toolzone brand products in the UK, moved eight miles from Ormidale Square to Blackdown Park in Willand, after purchasing 19,872 sq ft of premium industrial space from leading property company London and Cambridge Properties (LCP) – doubling its space.

The tools company has moved into two blocks, which comprise five units that are situated around a communal circulation yard.

Each of the steel portal frame units has a single pitched steel profile clad roof and benefit from allocated parking and secure loading areas.

Malcolm King, managing director of KDP Tools, said the move was necessary because it had grown too large for its old site. He said: “By consolidating our stock onto one site means it is now much easier to operate, the units’ close proximity and excellent access to the M5, combined with the lack of quality units available to purchase in Mid Devon, led to Blackdown Park standing out as the obvious choice.

“We are extremely happy with the property due to its very good condition and value for money in contrast to new build opportunities.”
