A PENSIONER from Cullompton has been jailed for 19 years after pleading guilty to a string of sex offences against children.
John Bidmead, 65, was sentenced at Exeter Crown Court on Monday after pleading guilty to sex offences against children.
Following the sentencing, Detective Inspector Andrea Kingdon said: “This has been a very distressing and sensitive investigation, particularly for the victims of this abuse.
“There is no doubt that Bidmead is a predatory child sex offender who has committed a number of extremely serious sex offences against children.”
The judge praised the actions of the officers involved in the case.
