STAR-GAZERS can experience the wonders of the galaxy in Hemyock.
A state-of-the-art mobile planetarium will be installed in the parish hall for two sessions on Saturday, November 30.
The first session at 5.30pm is aimed at families with young children – the 7.45pm session is for older children and adults.
Astronomer Simon Ould of Hemyock-based company Space Odyssey will lead both sessions. He is offering an hour-long trip around the galaxy inside the planetarium and then a chance to try some real star-gazing outside, exploring the Blackdowns’ gloriously dark and beautiful night skies (weather permitting). Tickets are £7 (under-16s £5) – email blackdownhills@devon.gov.uk or call 01823-680681.
