REBBECCA Tapp, from Cullompton, swapped the sights and sounds of the adventure park for the classroom when she took a once in a life time trip to become a volunteer teacher in South Africa.
The Crealy Great Adventure Park employee taught children at Sithobelumtheto Senior Primary School in the Madadeni Township in North East South Africa and took a suitcase full of gifts from her exciting workplace with her.
Rebecca said: “I was really fortunate to be able to visit the Madadeni Township and the Primary School. I met some amazing people and it was a very humbling experience.
“I am really grateful to Crealy’s Chief Executive, Chris Down who paid for additional luggage for me to be able to take gifts for the children and a substantial amount of teaching resources that I needed throughout my time there.
“I took lots of Crealy goodies – making sure that I had some Buddy Bears. I gave these to two children that I met from the school called Nkosi and Madela who were both aged 12 and were very grateful to receive them.”
Chris Down, Chief Executive at the Park added: “It is amazing what she has done and everyone from the Crealy family is extremely proud of her.”
