TWO groups of Year 10 students from Queen Elizabeth’s, Crediton competed at a Maths Challenge Day at the Met Office, Exeter.

The budding teams included Kiri Ley, Aphra Beart-Albrecth, Toby Tapp, Stephen Tuckett, Luke Clifton, Reuben Taylor, Tom Baber and Lena Desch.

The students took part in rounds of differently themed Maths Challenges, some requiring extremely intense Maths knowledge.

This culminated in one of the two teams victoriously bearing two books for the school library, due to their immense hard work and endeavour in one of the rounds.

John Wright, maths teacher at the school, said: “I am very proud of our QE students in what they have achieved.

"They competed well and used all their Maths skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities. Well done.”
