AS part of NFU Mutual's ongoing commitment to the safety and wellbeing of horses, the rural insurer's office in Crediton will be opening its doors to anyone who is able to donate much-needed equipment to the Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust.

The Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust is desperately seeking emergency supplies to help care for the animals it helps look after and is appealing for people to donate items such as bandages, dressings, head collars and girths, which it can take to Gambia.

Jeremy Atkins, Agent at NFU Mutual in Crediton, said: “As the UK's leading rural insurer, NFU Mutual understands that horses and donkeys are part of the fabric of rural life and it is therefore important to us to be able to assist with equine rehabilitation and welfare.

“The charity is looking for equipment to treat wounds as well as bits, headcollars and girths.”
