QUEEN Elizabeth's SChool in Crediton is in the top 100 schools in the country for sustained improvement, in the key GCSE measure of 5 A*-C including English and Maths.

The academy received the news in a letter from the Schools Minister, David Laws, last week.

Principal, Richard Newton Chance, said: “We are absolutely delighted that the hard work of staff and students over the last few years has been recognised in this way. This, coupled with our recent very positive OFSTED report, confirms that QE is the great school we have always known it was.”
