Paralympic swimmer Kate Grey has visited students at Queen Elizabeth’s in Credtion.

The visit came as a result of the Sky Sports Living project in which schools and colleges submit a project that would encourage and promote participation in sport.

Queen Elizabeth’s was drawn as winners due to the work being undertaken in the sixth-form with the Sports Leaders and Sports Council.

Head of PE Neil Kay said: “Having Kate visit has been a true inspiration for our students and staff.

“She is living proof that anyone can triumph against adversity.

“The amount of training and work it has taken for her to get to be a Paralympian is phenomenal and we are grateful she took the time out of her busy training schedule to come and visit the college and talk to our students.”

Kate will return to Queen Elizabeth’s on Thursday to open the Primary Schools’ Sports Festival.
