Police appeal after 15-year-old assaulted

Plymouth police are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old boy was struck over the head with a glass object by an unknown assailant.

The boy was walking along Miller Way in Estover with two friends when he was hit over the back of the head. He suffered a cut to his head and needed hospital treatment.

Police are now appealing to anyone who may have seen the assault which happened as the boy approached Keswick Crescent around 9.30pm on Friday (5 October).

Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have been at the nearby bus stop or travelling on the number 50 bus which passed by at that time.

Anyone who can help with the investigation is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference EL/12/4431.
