Late night bat walk coming to Tiverton canal

A LATE night bat walk will start at Devon County Council's Grand Western Canal Country Park at 8.30pm on Friday, August 31.

The event, which aims to help people learn more about bats, is lead by Country Park Rangers, will start in Tiverton and will last approximately two hours.

Walkers will be able to use bat detectors which convert the high-pitch sound of a bat's call to a frequency which can be heard by the human ear. No children under five or dogs are allowed and participants should bring along their own torches. Children should be accompanied by an adult. Places cost just £3 per adult and £1 per child.
