Children and staff at a Brixham nursery are celebrating after being judged as 'outstanding' by Ofsted inspectors.

The Nest Neighbourhood Nursery received the rating following a visit last month. It's the second time in a row that the nursery has been rated as Outstanding in all the areas inspected. In the latest report inspectors said that ‘staff work together very effectively to meet the welfare, learning and development needs of each child and children make excellent progress as a result’.

The report also highlighted the skills of staff saying they ‘sensitively build on children’s interests and track their progress towards the early learning goals. Children at the Nest develop extremely secure foundations for their future learning’.

Nursery Manager, Tricia Bennett, said: "I'm really pleased that we have received this glowing report. It is a true reflection of how the enthusiastic team of staff work together for the benefit of our children. I would like to thank them all for their hard work and commitment."
