Police are appealing for information following an allegation of sexual assault in Dawlish.

A spokesman for the force said the assault occurred between about 1pm and 2pm on Tuesday, March 20, near the bird sanctuary area of Dawlish Warren beach.

Police are keen to speak to or identify four men that were in the area at the time and may have been seen in the company of a white teenage girl.

The men are described as: A white man with dark receding hair, about 5ft 8in in height, of quite broad build with greyish stubble on his face. He was about 40 to 50 in age wearing a black jumper, black jeans and big heavy boots and had an Irish accent

A white man with a slightly tanned complexion who was really tall and skinny about mid twenties with a left ear pierced with a stud in it. He had quite thick dark short hair wearing black jumper, black jeans and heavy boots.

A white man slightly tanned of quite short heavy build. He had short white hair almost shaven and was aged about 50 with his left ear pierced. He was wearing a black jumper, black jeans and big heavy boots.

A white man of about average height and build with short light brown hair with quite a smart haircut. He was aged about 30 and was wearing a black jumper, black jeans and big heavy boots.
