Devon disabled drivers face charges for blue badges

Devon councils ahave decided to start charging for disabled parking badges.

All three of Devon's main council areas will start asking for cash from May.

Devon County Council and Torbay Council will charge £10 for people to renew badges every three years from May.

Plymouth City Council will charge £4.95 every three years.

All three are Conservative-led.

The councils hacve said that increased administration costs due to government changes to the scheme are to blame.
