A NEW extension has been built at Culm Valley Sports Centre after improvements to the fitness studio proved so popular.
The new-look studio, with a top-of-the-range Lifefitness cardio-vascular suite, boosted membership to such an extent that extra space had to be found to cope with demand.
The new area includes improved equipment with a stretching, toning and free weight area ensuring that everyone visiting the gym will be able to train in a user-friendly environment.
Mid Devon Leisure facilities manager Samantha Bennion said: “It’s great to see hard work re-invested into our facilities.
“The gym at Culm Valley now rivals any in the area and I’m proud of the staff’s commitment to get this enhancement completed.
“Customer reaction has been fantastic and memberships to the gym have increased as a result.”
The gym caters for all abilities including referrals from GPs to triathletes.
The extension has been made possible through partnership working with Cullompton Community College who use the facility for some of their GCSE classes.
