A 13-YEAR-OLD boy was arrested during a drugs raid in Tiverton on Tuesday night.
Police targeted a property in the Pugsley Road area of Wilcombe after complaints from residents.
A police spokesman said: “This property had already been highlighted by a number of residents in the area as a concern due to the high levels of anti-social behaviour associated with the address.
“Information from the community enabled officers from the Tiverton Neighbourhood Policing Team to secure a search warrant and during the evening officers gained entry and searched a number of young people at the address.
“A small quantity of controlled drugs were seized.
“A 19-year-old male was warned for possession of a class B controlled drug and a 13- year-old male was arrested for possession of a class B controlled drug.
PC Michael Martini, Neighbourhood Beat Manager for the Tiverton Canal area, said: “ I want the community in the Wilcombe, Tidcombe and Canal Hill area to know that if we are supplied the information about anti-social behaviour or use and supply of controlled drugs then we will take prompt action.
“This needs to serve as a warning to those who carry out such activity who think it’s acceptable.
“It’s not, and this type of positive action by the Tiverton Neighbourhood Team will continue.”
