Ladies night raises over £3,000 for kids

A TIVERTON fundraising event for women has raised £3,100 for two children’s charities.

The Ladies Night, organised by Sian Brooks and Karen Adcock, included a Christmas fair, a fashion show and and auction at Up-lowman village hall in December.

It is the fifth year the pair have held the event, which raises cash for REACH, a charity for children born with upper limb deficiencies, and the Chernobyl Chil-dren’s Life Line, an aid organisation helping youngsters affected by the infamous radioactive fallout.

Karen said: “I’d like to thank everyone who attended and gave so generously – these people have made this event so successful.”

The pair, who announced their bumper fundraising total this week, are looking for host families for this year’s visit of the Chernobyl Children.

Anyone interested should call Karen on 01884-820447.
