A CULLOMPTON teenager arrived home this week after climbing Africa’s highest mountain in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Glenn Radford, an 18-year-old student at Exeter College, conquered Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and raised £4,500 for the terminally ill in the process.
Glenn said this week: “The climb was the hardest but most rewarding thing I have ever done.
“Altitude sickness hounded many in the group but 14 of our group of 25 made it to the top.
“I would like to thank all those who sponsored and supported me and hope my climb will help raise awareness of the challenges out there people can do to raise money for good causes such as Marie Curie.”
