Woolacombe and Sidmouth among most expensive resorts

WOOLACOMBE and Sidmouth are among the top ten most expensive resorts in the Seaside Property League compiled by Zoopla.co.uk.

Woolacombe, where homes average a cool £286,730 and Sidmouth at £276,981, are ranked eighth and ninth.

Royal hideaway Rock tops the league with average home values of £548,621.

The league reveals just how property home values in seaside resorts have fared over the past 12 months. Homes in Ramsgate and Broadstairs in Kent have been hit the hardest over the last year while Llandudno and Llangrannog in Wales have been the least affected.

Residents of Rock pay a premium of £330,000 higher than the Cornish average home value.
