MOTORBIKE enthusiasts were in their element when the Tiverton branch of the NSPCC held their second annual motorcycle show at the Pannier Market.
The children’s charity fund-raiser, Donna Statham, said: “Despite awful weather, the show was very successful. We had motorcycles from across the South-West coming along, including the Torbay Mod club who rode their scooters up from Torbay.
“Best in show was a 1962 BSA A7, locally owned by Alan Bowler.”
Committee chairman Dagmar Armstrong added: “On behalf of the committee, I would like to thank everyone who brought their bikes along on such a wet day and everyone who came along and supported the event.
“Special thanks must also go to Chris Frith, the market manager, and Ken Howe for bringing along his spectacular collection of classic bikes.”
The NSPCC runs over 180 projects and services, including the ChildLine and Young Witness Support centres in Exeter, both of which help local children.
