THE Wellesley Cinema in Wellington is offering people a chance to see the sequel to children’s favourite Madagascar while supporting South African schools for orphans.

A charity preview showing of Madagascar 2, when fans can catch up with the antics of Alex the Lion and Marty the Zebra, is being held next Saturday (November 29) at 2.30pm.

All profits from the £5 tickets will go to Vuleka, a Johannesburg school supporting children orphaned by AIDS and violence. Vuleka helps feed and clothe the children, many from the townships, and teaches them English so they can access a good secondary education.

Vuleka runs four pre-schools, two primary schools and a Special Needs Education Centre across 27 sites in Johannesburg.

It also trains teachers and relies heavily on volunteer support and donations.

There is no advanced booking.
