SEVERAL jobs will be created with the opening of a new music and entertainment venue in Taunton’s High Street.
Businessmen Joe Quartly and Mark McEvans are operating The Perfect 5th from Friday, December 19.
It will also offer comedy acts, talent shows and will be available for private hire.
During the day, the upstairs area will be a musically-themed coffee shop and licensed bar, with lunchtime performances by orchestral musicians.
Mr Quartly 30, who grew up in Taunton, said: "Having grown up in Taunton most of my fondest memories are from nights out socialising with friends in various pubs and clubs.
"Our main objective for the venue is to create great memories for customers, staff, and ourselves.
"We want to get people back into Taunton, entertain them and to enjoy each others' company in a friendly, relaxed environment."
Mr McEvans said: "We're now in the process of searching for our team to help run the business.
"We anticipate that the interest of working here will be great as the venue is such an exciting venture for Taunton."
