Taunton's ToneFM has announced it will launch a brand new free interactive app.
It has been designed to enhance the listener experience.
The app, powered by Playout1, offers immediate live listening upon opening and high definition audio where Wifi is available.
It will also feature a selection of 'Listen Again' content, station’s podcast series, competition entry, presenter messaging and free traffic and travel alerts.
Station director Patch Jobson is optimistic about the final product saying: "The way in which our listeners interact, and listen to us has massively shifted in the last couple of years with more demand on digital options, rather than FM.
"With this in mind it was a no brainer to shift our focus to match this, and with the app, along with our Alexa Skill website and other streaming partner such as TuneIn, we’re thrilled with the new addition."
The Tone FM app is set to become available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store on Friday, March 8 at 9am.
It will be available at no cost to all iOS and Android users, for both phone and tablets.
